This years event will focus on Sustainable Fashion.

The event will showcase the philosophy  of sustainability in fashion and create an awareness of the goal which is to create a system which can be supported indefinitely in terms of environmentalism and social responsibility. We plan to give our guests a memorable evening, combining the experience and dedication of our key note speaker; Wayne Hemingway founder of Red or Dead and House of Hemingway with the creativity and passion of our designers Tesfa Joseph and Elaine & Simon Burnell, who will showcase sustainable designs on the catwalk.

This year they are extremely proud to have designed “An Alternative Mayoral chain” for the Mayor of Eastleigh Borough their home borough. They sourced materials from several local companies with a long history in the area and as a result the chain shows and tells a story of Eastleigh from the early 1900’s. The chain will be used for school visits and is on display in the council offices. Elaine and Simon have also published a book which follows the process from start to finish. The chain was an enjoyable alternative to their main work which is predominantly one-of-a-kind statement pieces of jewellery. Each piece has it’s own story to tell.

They are pleased to be taking part in this years MEBC annual award dinner. The awards dinner will see them present our collection “Transition” it will begin with the first ever piece they ever made and  through to some brand new pieces designed and made exclusively for this event.
